Carillion Training Services can help employers in the construction industry who:

  • want to give a work placement to a young person on an apprenticeship;
  • prefer the placement to be flexible, depending on what work is available.

Our training model means that you only contribute towards the cost of an apprenticeship when the apprentice is actually working for you. The rest of the time, Carillion Training Services will pay their wages.

You do not need to be able to offer all of the work-related activities required for specific types of apprenticeships. We deliberately rotate apprentices through different placements so that they build up the required evidence of achievement, over time.

The apprentices will be working towards an Intermediate or Advanced Level in one of the following areas: bricklaying; carpentry and joinery; painting and decorating; general construction activities; plastering; interior systems (dry lining).

About Carillion Training Services

Carillion Training Services is the UK's largest and most experienced private provider of construction training. For over 40 years we have been helping young people turn their talent into a trade.

Each year we recruit over 1,000 apprentices via 13 training centres around the UK. This makes Carillion Training Services the UK's largest employer of construction apprentices.

We have extensive links with schools and colleges and we run training programmes on behalf of local authorities. We also provide a range of training and assessment services for many small firms and other employers.

Our work enables young people to earn as they learn and become the next generation of bricklayers, carpenters, joiners, painters, decorators, plasterers, dry liners and general construction operatives.
