Minstead Study Centre
The building was constructed from a timber frame and designed to be sympathetic to its surroundings and incorporates environmentally friendly elements such as rainwater harvesting, solar panels and the use of sustainable materials.
The centre, which provides residential activity weeks for children aged six to 12 was completed and handed over in October 2006.Environmental factors were a key element in the construction of a new dormitory facility for the Minstead Study Centre, located in the heart of the New Forest.
Carillion has awarded the £1.2 million contract as part of the Hampshire County Council framework agreement to carry out work on existing classrooms and construct a dormitory.
