Sovereign Harbour

As main contractor and structural engineer on the Sovereign Harbour development near Eastbourne, Carillion is building new communities by helping to provide more than 3,000 new homes in a prime waterside location.

Sovereign Harbour, a 330-acre mixed use site, designed to boost the regeneration of Eastbourne, is the largest composite marine development in the UK. It is situated around a series of harbours separated from the sea via twin 50m locks. The harbours currently provide berthing space for over 1,000 leisure craft.

A wide range of property styles and sizes are available on the development, many of them with water frontage. Other facilities include a retail park, multi-screen cinema complex and a range of retail warehouse units. The recently completed Waterfront area provides a range of restaurants, shops and small office suites.
