Barnsley Schools
The Barnsley Schools project consists of the design, build, finance and service of 13 new build primary schools for Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. The project also involves the provision of full facilities management services including hard and soft maintenance, catering and grounds maintenance for all of the schools for the remainder of the 27-year concession period. The schools are being built in three phases with the last of the schools due to be handed over in June 2007. The new schools will replace a number of old buildings and will provide up to date learning facilities, including information and computing technology learning rooms. In total, 4,600 children and 380 teachers and staff will benefit from the new facilities. | |
