Exeter Schools

The Exeter Schools project has provided five new secondary schools and one primary school with the schools released on a phased programme as and when they were completed.

In the operational phase, Carillion and its partners, provides services covering cleaning, catering, building and grounds maintenance, security and a helpdesk.

The PFI project has been named the ‘Best UK Deal to Reach Financial Close’ in the Public Private Finance Magazine Awards. Achieving financial close in March 2004, the project was considered to have shown, innovation, sustainability, flexibility and efficiency in both its construction and operation.

This is the first time a PFI scheme for several schools has received such a prestigious award.
