Leeds
Carillion is nurturing the next generation and bringing construction to life in the classroom as part of a Leeds Combined Secondary Schools PFI project.
We’re working closely with Ralph Thoresby High School, John Smeaton School and South Leeds School to provide support and resources for a number of technology, environmental, health & safety and mathematical projects. We’re giving practical demonstrations of the work we do within such areas as sustainable design, habitat preservation and energy use to help students really engage with the curriculum and increase industry understanding.
We support careers advice workshops by enabling students to speak to members of our specialist teams about the work they do. Carillion is also providing training opportunities by arranging a one day per week placement for one of the students with our specialist contractors on the South Leeds School site.
