John Radcliffe, Oxford

Carillion has helped to enhance healthcare facilities in and around Oxfordshire with the design and construction of a major extension to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, including a new Children’s Hospital and specialist Head & Neck Centre.

Excellent project management of work on a live hospital site ensured that no clinical time was lost due to construction, and a number of innovative sustainability initiatives were incorporated during the design and construction phases of the project. These included the sponsorship of a local wildlife group and specification of sustainable flooring and ceiling products.

We are now providing a range of facilities management services to the hospital, including patient and retail catering, domestic and portering services. We also provide the building maintenance and energy management within the new West Wing and Children’s Hospital.
