Carillion is currently building two new state-of-the-art healthcare facilities for the citizens of Ontario in Canada.

In a joint venture between Carillion Canada and Ellis Don, we are financing, designing, constructing and commissioning both the 608-bed acute William Osler Hospital in Brampton and a 188-bed highly specialised psychiatric facility at the Royal Ottawa Hospital.

The latter is being developed as an extension to an existing live hospital site, requiring excellent project management to avoid disruption to current patient care during the 24-month construction period. When it is commissioned, it will specialise in treating people with severe and persistent mental illness throughout Eastern Ontario.

In addition to investing equity in each hospital, Carillion will also manage and maintain the property and provide non-clinical services under long-term concession agreements.
