Pimlico Village
Carillion helped to create a new community in central London by managing the design and construction of a vibrant mixed use development on the site of a former bus station. Pimlico Village comprises 160 multi-level flats and maisonettes wrapped over and around a new-style Sainsbury Market. The development also incorporates a further eight retail units and residential car parking. | |

The accommodation is split between social housing and private apartments. Both the social and private elements have separate landscaped courtyards, entrances and parking facilities. We employed innovative techniques to effectively reduce ground contamination before building work began on the structure. This enabled us to realise significant cost savings for the project while also helping to minimise the environmental impact of transporting excavated soil from one site to another. |
