management systems, effective environmental supply chain management,
waste minimisation techniques and sustainable design.
Natural Resources are an integral
part of our business. We use natural resources to build buildings,
operate buildings and we dispose of natural resources during
demolition of buildings. Therefore the control and efficient
use of such materials is a key focus for our business.
The prudent use of resources
will protect the environment and save on project costs. For
example, the Nottingham Express Transit Line One Contract
saved approximately £500,000 on waste disposal costs in 2001
by reusing and recycling excavated materials. Demonstrating
that control of natural resources assists in achieving business
goals.
