We aim to improve
the quality of life for employees, their families and the
local communities in which we work
Through our operations in the
UK and abroad we are continually interacting with different
cultures and needs. We recognise that this provides us with
an opportunity to have a dramatic effect on local communities.
As a large organisation we can
affect the demographics of an area, alter employment trends,
and provide opportunities for regeneration and investment.
It is therefore important to ensure that we act in a responsible
manner and maintain a trained, healthy and safe workforce
and provide equal opportunities to all skill levels.
We have experience of positively
impacting upon our staff and the local communities in which
we operate. The main areas of our experience can be broadly
categorised into 4 areas:
Our Key Social Performance Indicators
can be viewed within the Performance
section of the report. Indicators include, staff turnover,
compliance with Human Rights Legislation, our score in the
Business in the Community survey of Corporate Environmental
Engagement and many more indicators.
Our interactions with suppliers
can be viewed in the
Supply Chain section of the report.
Our approach to engaging with
our stakeholders is provided in the
Stakeholder
section.
