We have been improving our sustainability and environmental performance since 1994 and are now experienced in implementing sustainable development at both project and Plc level.

We publish our Annual Report and Accounts each year, which details our financial performance and over the last few years have published our sustainability reports, which detail our environmental, social and elements of economic performance.

We are still trying to demonstrate both within and outside of Carillion that there is a real business case for sustainable development.

The value of socially responsible investment funds has grown by 1000% in the last 4 years (Green Futures). This demonstrates that investors are interested in the corporate responsibility of organisations

We know that implementing the principles of sustainable development ensures that we are a responsible business. We believe that by being more sustainable we will be more profitable. Therefore, we are seeking to build a clear business case for sustainable development by gaining examples where implementing sustainable development has delivered business benefit.
