Workforce profile

We have further developed our Diversity policy during 2003 and implemented across Carillion. We have also produced a statistics pack and targets for improvement across the group. Our HR population are undertaking education programmes on Diversity with our line managers.

Carillion had 350 RIDDOR level injuries world wide (in a population of 40,000 employees and subcontractors).

Major accidents accounted for around 19% of the RIDDOR accidents, a reduction over recent years.

The Accident Frequency Rate was 0.34. The lowest the company has ever achieved.

Regrettably there were 3 tragic accidents in 2003.
