The Considerate Constructors Scheme is a national initiative to improve the image of construction through better management and presentation of its sites. It aims to raise the standards of construction design and management above statutory requirements. Constructors' must commit to a seven point Code of Considerate practice that includes being:
1 - considerate
2 - environmentally aware
3 - clean
4 - a good neighbour
5 - respectful
6 - safe
7 - responsible
8 - accountable
The Scheme is monitored by experienced professionals who visit sites and suggest and
encourage improvements. National awards are made to site managers of the best performing
sites.
The Scheme is administered by the Construction Confederation on behalf of the Construction Industry Board
