Occupational Health & Safety Policy

• It is the policy of the Carillion Group to carry out all activities in a way that provides healthy and safe working conditions for its employees and minimises the risk of injury to employees and others from the activities for which it is responsible.
  
• Health and safety is a regular item on the agenda of the Carillion Group board meetings and is regularly discussed at senior management level.
  
• Each Business Group has in place its own management systems to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation.  Each Business Group seeks to achieve continual safety improvements through regular monitoring and review.
  
• The overall responsibility for health and safety rests at Board level but it is impressed on all employees that they have important responsibilities and must participate in carrying out the Carillion Group policies.  Appropriate training, supervision and information is provide to ensure that employees are competent to carry out their duties and responsibilities and are committed to implementing such policies.
