In 2006 we are launching the new sustainability framework and developing and trialling our Sustainability Excellence Model. The model will be rolled out through 2006 with Carillion Building being the first to take part to set targets against the model and roll it out across their projects. The remaining Business Groups will establish their baseline in 2006 and trial the model on small number of areas.
Throughout 2006 we will also be supporting the new members of the group following the acquisition by Carillion of Mowlem Plc.
Our sustainability strategy will continue to be driven by our Corporate 2010 Strategic Objectives and Targets, and the Carillion Standards.
Each Business Group has developed sustainability targets, cascading the corporate targets throughout the business and set targets for their own business needs. The Plc targets are summarised on the new “sun diagram”:
