National Building - CNB received the Construction Firm of the Year Award at the Insider Property Awards. The award was given in recognition of Carillion’s commitment to health and safety and also for its excellent work on Manchester projects such as the Beetham Hilton Tower, Argent Piccadilly Place and the Great Northern Tower for George Wimpey City. |

National Building - Carillion has won a Built in Quality Award from the London District Surveyors Association for its high rise mixed use building project in Wandsworth situated on the banks of the river Thames. |
National Building - The Sunday Telegraph named Carillion National Building as the winner of the £50,000 prize for the large company category in the Edge Awards 2007. The Edge Awards reward organisations that provide outstanding learning opportunities for 14-25 year olds. Carillion won the award with the support of Hounslow Education Business Partnership. Carillion beat numerous blue-chip companies in its category, including such household names as Volkswagen, BT, Vodafone, United Utilities, Microsoft and McDonalds. The prize money will be used to develop and trial new construction and sustainability activities. |

Carillion was presented with a Highly Commended award from the ICE Yorkshire and Humber Award scheme by ICE President Quentin Leiper, for an eco depot. |

The development was awarded the regeneration award at the recent South West Commercial Property Awards. |

Carillion has scooped an industry award for its highly successful Larkhall-Milngavie Rail Project together with clients Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) and Network Rail. Main contractor Carillion Rail and project leader SPT collected the Best Achievement Through Teamwork Award at a ceremony in London held recently. |
Rail - has won Best Supplier award for its Manchester Metrolink Track Renewals project for clients Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE). The Metrolink team was awarded the accolade at the Tramways & Urban Transit Magazine awards ceremony held in Docklands, London, on 2 November 2007. Judges said the award was given in recognition of the ‘immaculate performance’ from Carillion Rail’s Metrolink team. |

Carillion Roads scooped Contractor of the Year at the Highways Magazine Excellence Awards event held on Wednesday night (Oct 31), for the M6 extension project, based on its pioneering ECI project which completes the busy motorway network from London to Glasgow. |

Carillion Roads fought off strong competition including many international finalists: Wadi Abdoun Bridge, in Amman; Southern Cross Station, in Australia; Industrial Ring Road Bridges, in Bangkok and Blackwater Viaduct, in Ireland. |

Carillion Regional Civil Engineering - Carillion collected an award of excellence for a project which was completed more than 30 years ago by recently acquired civil engineering and construction company John Mowlem. Carillion, which acquired Mowlem in February last year, received the Certificate of Excellence award for outstanding merit in the use of concrete, in the Mature Structures Category for Mowlem’s London Bridge project at the Concrete Society Awards held recently. The new London Bridge, was completed in 1973 replacing John Rennie’s granite bridge of 1831 which was too narrow to cope with growing vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The architect was Sir William Holford, the civil engineer Mott, Hay & Anderson and the contractor was John Mowlem. |
