Carillion Building has recruited its first member of staff in the position of site receptionist under the Local Employment and Training Partnership Scheme. Carillion regularly establishes Employment and Training Partnerships in redevelopment areas, with the objective of providing training opportunities for local people and local contractors in line with our supply chain requirements. Carillion’s role is to be proactive in assessing the local labour market and training capacity to fill identified gaps and ensuring local people are trained in advance of project start dates. Such action brings sustainable benefits to local communities and economies. We are part of the J21 Scheme with Oldham and Rochdale Local Labour in Construction Initiative and our customer, Community 1st Oldham. The scheme provides training and employment opportunities to the local community. We have committed to recruiting more than 40 local trainees and apprentices over the next four years. | |
