Business in the Community's Business Action on Homelessness campaign

In 2006 Carillion joined the Business in the Community’s – Business Action on Homelessness (BAOH) campaign to help homeless people throughout the UK get off the streets and back into work.

BAOH is one of many campaigns organised through Business in the Community (BITC). It is the most successful programme to get long-term unemployed people into work.

Carillion as an employer has a prime role to support the BAOH programme and get individuals ‘Ready to work’. Our commitment is to be the crucial link that provides two-week work placements opportunities for homeless clients to help them re-enter the job market. Carillion supports clients by giving them a "work buddy" during the placement and throughout their journey. Candidates are now being placed in roles across the group.
