The Prince's Trust

Carillion plc is proud to support The Prince's Trust, a UK charity that helps young people overcome barriers and rebuild their lives. Through practical support including training, mentoring and financial assistance, The Trust helps those aged 14 to 30 realise their potential and transform their lives. The Prince's Trust focuses their efforts on young people who are hard to reach - those who have struggled at school, been in care, been in trouble with the law, or are long-term unemployed.

Carillion plc is a member of The Prince's Trust's Construction and Business Services Leadership Group, which funds a skills development programme for young people looking to find a way into the industry. This year, funds raised during Carillion's Sustainability Week will also be donated to The Prince's Trust to support more disadvantaged young people in the UK.

CRASH

Carillion has been a long-term patron of CRASH – the Construction and Property Industry Charity for the Homeless. Carillion is involved in a number of CRASH events throughout the year and each Christmas instead of producing printed Christmas cards an email version is produced. The savings made by not sending paper cards is then donated to CRASH.

RedR

RedR - Registered Engineers for Disaster Relief is an international charity that provides specialist construction personnel to help relieve suffering caused by disasters by selecting, training and providing competent and committed personnel to humanitarian programmes world-wide.

Age Concern

Carillion in partnership with Compass Group (Wolverhampton) has hosted three Age Concern Luncheon Club events. Luncheon clubs are provided by Social Services and Age Concern. They are usually located in churches and community centres. The service is designed to help the elderly who are frail or vulnerable due to infirmity, to socialise with others in similar circumstances. This programme has formed a sustainable ongoing partnership with a local charitable organisation in the Wolverhampton region.
