Health and Safety in Carillion is driven top-down for sound business as well as legal reasons. It is key to the delivery of our sustainability objectives. Our strategic approach is geared up to the protection of everyone involved in and affected by, our operations.
Our systematic approach to Health and Safety helps to control risk, reduce costs and improve our reputation, with fewer insurance claims and fewer days lost to injury.

94.5% of our UK employees work within a Safety Management System that we assess as OHSAS 18001 (occupational health and safety management systems) compliant. Independent accreditation has so far been achieved for systems covering 80.2% of UK employees |
