The Corporate Health and Safety Performance Index

We complete The Corporate Health and Safety Performance Index [CHASPI] on an annual basis and we were the first and only major construction company to submit information on the Health and Safety performance of all its businesses to the benchmarking process sponsored by the Health and Safety Commission. This index allows us to benchmark our performance against all participating companies and help us to deliver continuous improvement.

In 2007 we completed the CHASPI Index and scored 7.4 this is above the mean score of 6.7 and Carillion was placed 21st out of 77 in the index as opposed to 31st out of 55 in 2006
