2007 Accident performance
In 2009, the Group’s Accident Frequency Rate (AFR) was 0.13 reportable accidents per 100,000 people hours worked (2008 AFR: 0.14). It was pleasing that the already low accident rate further improved during the course of 2009 as we strive towards our goal of zero. Within this overall performance, the accident rates in the construction businesses in the UK and the Middle East improved by around 40%.
