Carillion Training Services
Carillion is the largest construction training provider in the UK, training around 1,200 apprentices each year, through 18 training centres.
We have a long-term partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and together we are well known in the industry for setting high quality training standards, giving young people an excellent chance of building a career within construction and support services. We provide off-site training courses with work experience on site for our apprentices.
Independent inspection by the government's Adult Learning Inspectorate placed us in the top 5% of construction trainers in the country.
Our training covers a range of trades from brickwork, carpentry and joinery, painting and decorating to dry lining and facilities management. We also operate two specialist construction plant training centres.
We record our results in Learning Skills Council contract years, which run from August to July, and Carillion’s results are all above the average for the sector:
70% of our 1,082 apprentices achieved a full framework against the sector national average of 64%
We work with over 1,200 small firms and sub-contractors, who provide hands on experience to our apprentices
