Team Talk

At least once a month, every employee in Carillion should have a face to face talk with their line manager. For the manager, this is an opportunity to update the team on key changes both locally and within the business. It is also an opportunity for employees to comment and ask questions.

Reward and Benefits Management – The Thank you scheme

We have introduced various rewards and benefits programmes including a ‘thank you’ scheme, which offers considerable savings on goods and services that our people have told us they appreciate, from childcare vouchers to tax-free bicycles through the Government’s cycle to work scheme.

Occupational Health Services

Carillion operates a Plc-wide occupational health contract provided by RPS Business Healthcare for all its employees.

This includes various services such as pre-employment postal questionnaire, health surveillance, personal track safety, drug and alcohol screening, 24-hour medication advice service, referrals to an occupational health physician or nurse, which are provided free-of-charge to all our employees.

Employee Assistance Programme

Another service provided by Carillion for the benefit of our employees and their immediate family is the ‘Employee Assistance Programme’ (EAP). The EAP service offers general information and citizens’ advice services, such as anything from consumer issues to education or residency advice, child and dependant care information, stress management issues, and telephone counselling and personal support that, as appropriate. This can be developed into face-to-face counselling if required by the individual. This support and information service is completely free and confidential.
