Environmental Impacts
99% of our UK business has ISO14001 accreditation
From the CO2 and particulate emissions from our vehicles to the waste materials we send to landfill, many of our everyday activities carry the risk of environmental pollution. Carillion’s businesses actively manage the environmental impacts of all our work sites and we have policies and processes that embed environmental protection at the heart of our operations.
We have implemented and maintain a robust environmental management system and we adhere rigorously to our own environmental policy on every site.
In 2008 Carillion were awarded Gold status (90%) in the BITC Environment Index for performance during 2007.
