Our Group includes a variety of operations with different environmental impacts. Whereas our construction activities create waste, in our business services operations for example, we manage and reduce waste for our clients. Collaboration is key to tackling our environmental issues: to source more sustainable materials we engage with suppliers; to use materials more efficiently we need the cooperation of our employees; to build environmental protection into our products and services, our customers must be supportive; and across all these activities we partner with environmental experts to ensure we follow best practice.

This report focuses on our main environmental impacts, with climate change and energy use addressed in the next section. While some impacts are not detailed in this report, all are managed under our environmental management systems.
