Carillion employs around 50,000 people across its operations in the UK, Middle East, Canada and the Caribbean. We also raise awareness of safety issues in the communities local to our operations. Overall, the projects we undertake are designed to have a positive impact on society and the economy, for example schools, hospitals and transport improvements. We also assess the impacts they have during construction on the local communities and liaise with the public to address any concerns they may have and to create positive impacts, such as employment opportunities. In addition, we promote employee volunteering and we donate 1% of our pre-tax profits to community organisations each year.
