Carillion is committed to supporting our armed forces. That’s why we’ve partnered with the MOD to actively encourage employees who wish to become Reservists.
We are proud to support Reservists who work for us and recognise the contribution they make to our business.
As well as supporting Reservists, Carillion also provides work placements for military personnel who are moving into civilian life and works with the army to help unemployed young people to find work through the Armed Forces Employability Pathway.
“Supporting the Armed Services is at the heart of our company ethos. Reservists offer great benefits to employers such as transferable skills, training, high levels of technical experience and motivation.”
Carillion has signed up to the Government’s Armed Forces Corporate Covenant – which allows businesses to show what they can do to support our Forces.
The Covenant was enshrined in law in 2011 to set in stone the moral obligation owed to the Armed Forces by Government and the nation.
Our Corporate Covenant commitment includes our pledges to support the Armed Forces Community, and recognise the value that serving personnel (both Regular and Reservists) Veterans and military families contribute to our business and our country.
Armed Forces Week
During Armed Forces Week a group of our Reservists organised an abseil in central Birmingham to raise funds for a local hospice. Carillion’s corporate charity is Hospice UK and this video shows how our brave abseiling team got on.
